Landmark Prosecution of Zoes for Forceful Initiation
In a historic legal precedent, WOLPNET's advocacy contributed to the prosecution of Zoes by the late Judge James Zota in Bomi County — the first criminal accountability for the forceful initiation of a non-member into the Sande society, establishing that traditional practices do not override individual rights under Liberian law.
Development of the Women's Manifesto for Political Participation
WOLPNET contributed to the development of the Women's Manifesto — a landmark document articulating women's demands for equal political participation, increased representation in government positions, and meaningful leadership in political spheres at all levels of national life in Liberia.
